Toss India chose to field v Sri Lanka
India chose to field on what appeared to be a good batting track in Hobart, MS Dhoni's decision prompted by the aim to restrict Sri Lanka to a score they can chase in 40 overs to secure a bonus point that will keep them alive in this triangular series.
While Sri Lanka, having won three matches in a row, stuck to the same side that beat Australia at Bellerive Oval last week, India brought back Zaheer Khan, who recovered from a calf injury. He replaced Irfan Pathan, who was forced to sit out as a result of a collision with Suresh Raina in India's previous game.
To keep their finals prospects alive, India need to win with a bonus point and then hope Australia beat Sri Lanka in the last league game of the tournament on March 2.
