England won the toss and chose to bowl in the fifth ODI on a crisp,
sunny morning in Dharamsala, India's 43rd ODI venue. Chris Woakes was
added to the England line-up in place of Jade Dernbach, while India were
unchanged.
Although Alastair Cook's side have already lost the five-match series,
they are pursuing what would be only their third one-day win over India
on Indian soil in the last decade. With the pitch expected to be hard
and fast, England's bowlers will hope for some early assistance from the
conditions.
Despite the expectation of some experimentation, there was no
opportunity for an ODI debut for Cheteshwar Pujara, while England again
opted to leave Stuart Meaker in reserve.
